![]() Can just layer system for warmth (no cotton base layer lol), mid layer maybe, into a technical fleece on top, into a shell to keep out the wind. ![]() 70% of usage daily winter general city wear ? AR 100%įor anything active, ditch the Atom AR and wear your layering system topped off with a technical fleece, throw shell on top of that, and your body heat generated from activity should keep you warm. Atom LT will run too cold for inactive periods unless you want to mega layer up lol to the extreme. My advice- grab Atom AR for warmth as a winter jacket. Which jacket would you suggest for my use-case? Also willing to take other synthetic insulated jacket suggestions if you believe there's a better option. ![]() I tend to wear XS for close fit, but will often buy a S if the size runs small and I'll need to add layers underneath since I run cold. I live in Alberta (Canada), where mildly cold weather temperatures would be about 0 degrees and -12 degrees Celsius. Packability being an asset when it comes for hiking or backpacking. I'll be using a Zeta SL over the insulating layer for wind & rain, when outdoors or if the weather is harsh during a regular day, and a variety of fleece mid-layers underneath based on the weather.Ībout 70% of my usage will be everyday wear, oriented around the not-so-cold days during winter, with the remaining 30% for hiking and lightweight backpack camping (early spring to late fall). ![]() Hello! After being suggested the Atom series for a synthetic insulated jacket, I'm trying to decide between the Atom AR or Atom LT. ![]()
